Online Help for Chasys Draw IES: Content-Aware Eraser Tool

Content-Aware Eraser Tool

This tool intelligently removes objects from an image, replacing them with an automatically generated patch that is intelligently synthesized from the rest of the image, resulting in a seamless image without the object of interest. This can be used to remove photo-bombers, defects, trash, foreign objects, your ex, or whatever else you don’t what to have in the image. The magic of this tool is best illustrated with an example:

Now you see it, now you don’t – the construction equipment has simply vanished from the photo. Here’s to giving you the power to do magic; go ahead and explore.

This tool provides two modes of operation, the difference between which is how you mark the object to be removed from the image:

Options

Brush

This option allows you to mark the object to remove by painting over it with a highlighter brush-tip. In this mode width dictates both the brush-tip size and how far out the tool will look to figure out how to generate the patch.

Polygon

This option allows you to mark the object to remove by selecting around it similarly to how you’d select pixels with the polygon mode of the Snip Tool. In this mode level dictates how far out the tool will look to figure out how to generate the patch.
