How do I recover autosaved versions

If this is possible, how do I do it. I just lost a ton of work do to an error and me agreeing to replace with what I thought was the same file. turns out the file saved as an animation file with only 2 layers. I hand about 25 layers in the project. I was making an animation file with a background and forground that stayed still with animated between them. The animation was being done on a separate file by copying new layers from the production project to the final gif. Ouch!

Hi Bryan,
If Chasys Draw IES is still open, you may be able to recovery your work via either autosave or undo history. Is this the case?

Not still open now. I tryed undo and it didn't work. How do I recover with autosave in case I have a problem in the future?

Hi Bryan,
In the event that Chasys Draw IES crashes or terminates abnormally, you'll be presented with the autosave recovery dialog box the next time you open it. The autosave interval is configurable (Configure > Autosave > Interval)

Hi Bryan,
Do you remember the action that triggered the crash?

I was copying between two projects. I could find no way to have both projects open at the same time so was having to copy then open the other file to paste. I may have maxed out my RAM. I have 16 GB. Likely had a bunch of Chrome internet tabs open as well.

The easiest way of importing layers from one file into another is by right-clicking the second file within the File Browser while the first file is open. The layers from the second file will be imported as additional layers (left-clicking will simply open the second file).

By "File Browser", I mean the File Browser tab on the right-side panel in Chasys Draw IES Artist.

John, Thanks for the tip on importing layers to different projects. It would be great if two or more windows could be open at once so copy and paste would be more efficient. I didn'y want to automatically import all layers as several of them were production only layers and would confuse the animation project. I tryed making a file animation after several layers were created but got only the first two layers in the result. Be glad if this process could be simplified.

Hi Bryan,
You can have multiple windows open at the same time; that is not restricted in any way (see screenshot below).
